Welcome to one of my very favorite posts of the year! Here you’ll find the top twenty five recipes on the skinny-ish dish! I love this post because it helps me know what readers are loving the most. If you’re new here (hi! welcome! think of this post as a tour guide to see what some of the current faves are here! I’m partial to pretty much any recipe here on the site and think they are all pretty awesome, but know some stand above the rest with readers! If you’ve been here for years (I appreciate you so much!) check out this post as a way to find a recipe you might not have known existed!

This is the perfect time to take to thank you all for being here and helping me continue to do what I love to do. I appreciate you all so much and I wish you the best year ahead.

This year has been very busy to say the least I honestly felt like I was always playing catch up and it was exhausting at times, but of course as it was filled with so many happy moments that I’m so grateful for! We’re on our third year in Tennessee and it’s been challenging at times and we’ve been extremely homesick for the Midwest, but we’re just so lucky to live in such a beautiful state now.

25. Chipotle Chicken Burrito Bowls

It’s not secret that when I talk about these bowls- I tell everyone while they are inspired by the fast food resturant, they are SO MUCH BETTER. These Chipotle Style Bowls are filled with fluffy cilantro lime rice, perfectly seasoned pinto beans, shredded romaine lettuce, and epic tender chicken breast charred in all the right places. This is my favorite recipe for meal prep.

24. Ramen Noodle Salad

A new one to enter the top twenty five! For good reason too! Ramen Noodle Salad is a favorite midwestern potluck classic! Shredded cabbage, crunchy ramen, fruity Mandarin slices, and toasted almonds and sesame seeds tossed with a simple Asian flavor inspired dressing. I know it sounds kinda weird, but it’s definitely delicious. Add in some grilled teriyaki chicken for the ultimate meal!

23. Air Fryer Ranch Carrots

These carrots are one of my favorite side dishes and apparently yours too since they made the top twenty five! Baby carrots + a packet of ranch dressing seasoning mix = the best lil snackity snack or side dish to literally anything.

22. Cheesy Bruschetta Bites

This is a new one for the top twenty five too and it slipped by me. I didn’t realize it was gaining such popularity. Mini phyllo shells stuffed with garlic and herb cheese and topped off with fresh bruschetta. This is actually an older recipe too! It’s perfect for any party or gathering and literally takes under 15 minutes to prep!

21. Biscuits and Gravy Bake

Did you know that Biscuits and Gravy Bake was actually the very first recipe I posted for the “world” (okay my mom and like 10 different people back then) to see! Well since that day, it’s been one of the most popular recipes on the site. It’s even become a Christmas morning breakfast tradition for a lot of readers (such a compliment). Every year it makes its way to the top twenty five and that makes me so happy!

20. Bacon Cheeseburger Bowls

A deconstructed low carb classic cheeseburger complete with a Big Mac-ish sauce and don’t you dare skip the crispy onion + bacon topping. This one definitely deserves it’s place in the top twenty five!

A one pot pasta take on a classic bacon cheeseburger meal. Perfect for weeknights and it’s incredibly delicious. If you were a big hamburger helper fan growing up (me too!)- you will LOVE this one. The kiddos will get excited for dinner time with this recipe.

16. Mom’s Chicken and Rice Casserole

Old-fashioned chicken and rice, lightened up for the perfect Sunday dinner. I literally grew up on a version of this casserole and it was the ultimate comfort food in my house! The biggest difference is that my mom usually made it with bone in chicken thighs and drumsticks. I love that I can have this version any night of the week and it’s so easy!

Slow cooked, tender beef full of savory Italian flavor. This is a very Chicago/Midwestern meal and this recipe has been in my family FOREVER. The traditional way to eat it is on a hard roll with some mozzarella and maybe some roasted peppers/banana peppers, but also VERY good in basically any way shape or form. I also eat it over mashed potatoes!

It’s the kind of recipe that I like to call “all purpose” or “very versatile” because I can use this chicken for SO MANY recipes. This recipe has taken the website by storm since I posted it. And to think, I almost didn’t post it. This is inspired by the Pollo Loco that is my FAVORITE at local Mexican restaurants. My mom and I have been making this recipe for YEARS except when I posted it I decided to turn it into an extra easy One Pot dish to help readers have less dishes on busy week nights. In a nutshell, it’s delicious Chicken and Rice with Mexican flavor Inspo + queso (aka white cheese dip in some parts). It’s simple and it’s simply delish!

Is it really any surprise that this is the most popular recipe on The Skinnyish Dish? It’s been number one or two for the past three years now! If you haven’t tried this one yet, you are truly missing out.
